Crepes in bloom

Back in April, I wrote about the first buds on my crepe myrtles and promised to show you how they would look this summer. Amazing!

I remember when I first saw crepe myrtles in bloom when I was coming home to the Charlotte airport and they line the parkway, when I left town on a business trip, no color, upon my arrival, like I said before, amazing.

I also remember at Epcot at Disney World seeing a gigantic crepe myrtle and there was a plaque describing the tree and the summer blooms.

There is no doubt, if you live in the South, the crepe myrtle is one of the most beautiful trees for everyone’s summer garden.
